Privacy policy
Last updated 22 October 2026
Revoyse (revoyse.com and app.revoyse.com) is run by IBADAN DOT DEV (Ibadan Development Company), a company in Nigeria, which is responsible for your data. This page explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. Questions: support@ibadan.dev.
What we collect
- Your account: your name, email address and, if you set one, a password (stored only as a one-way hash). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google, nothing else: we can't see your Google files, contacts or anything in your Google account.
- What you upload and make: your recordings (audio or video), their transcripts, the plans, illustrations and settings Revoyse makes from them, and the videos you export.
- Your AI keys: the API keys you add for providers like OpenAI or Anthropic. They're encrypted before they're stored and only used to make requests for you.
- Billing: your plan, the minutes you use and your payment history. Card details go straight to our payment provider; we never see or store them.
- Technical data: a sign-in cookie that keeps you logged in, and server logs (such as IP address, browser and errors) that we keep to run and secure the service. The app also remembers a few preferences in your browser, like the last variant you picked.
We don't use advertising or tracking cookies, and we don't sell your data.
Why we use it
- To run Revoyse: transcribing your recordings, planning and drawing the animations, and exporting your videos.
- To run your account: signing you in, sending emails you need (confirming your address, resetting your password) and counting your minutes.
- To keep Revoyse working and secure: fixing errors and stopping abuse.
We don't use your recordings or videos to train AI models.
Who helps us run it
We share data only with the services Revoyse needs, and only what each one needs:
- AI providers (OpenAI, Anthropic): your recordings and transcripts are sent to them, using your own keys, to transcribe and plan your videos. Their own privacy policies apply to what they receive. During the free trial, our keys are used instead.
- Hosting and storage providers: run our servers and database, store your files and serve the website.
- An email service: sends account emails.
- Our payment provider: takes payments.
- Google: only if you choose to sign in with Google.
Some of these services are outside Nigeria, so your data may be stored or processed in other countries. We may also share data if the law requires it. Before we share your data with a new kind of service, we'll update this page and tell you. A current list of the companies we use is available on request.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and projects while your account is open. When you delete a project, its files are deleted. When your account is closed, we delete your data within 30 days, except billing records we must keep by law. Server logs are kept for a short time and then deleted.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, download or delete your data, or object to how we use it. You can delete projects yourself in the app; for anything else, including closing your account, email support@ibadan.dev and we'll reply within 30 days. You can also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
Security
Connections are encrypted, passwords are hashed, AI keys are encrypted at rest, and access to your projects is limited to your workspace. No service is perfectly secure, but we'll tell you promptly if a breach affects your data.
Children
Revoyse isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data. Under 18, use it with a parent's or school's permission.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date above, and for important changes we'll email you before they apply.
